I have been providing accounting services for nearly 20 years and within this time, my company CHK has grown from a tiny accounting bureau into an international enterprise. I find that an accounting software needs to adjust to my company's business logic, not the other way around.

From idea to software
CHK's user story
I have been providing accounting services for almost 20 years, and the company CHK has grown from a small office to an international enterprise during that time. I believe that accounting software plays a crucial role in service delivery. Existing software solutions are tailored to individual company needs but not to the workflow of an accounting firm. I think software should adapt to my company's logic and requirements. For example, I want to make a VAT-code change once in the program and have it apply to all clients, rather than repeating the change multiple times. The decision to develop our own accounting program was not an easy one yet inevitable. After exploring various options, we decided to create our dream software. We found partners, established a new company, and began working on it. We hired our first software developer in April 2020, and by April 2021, Trigon was ready for CHK's clients. The following year involved extensive testing and development. By early 2022, we transitioned all CHK's clients to Trigon. This transition was initially challenging, but after six months of hard work, the software ran smoothly with increased users and data volume. By the second half of 2022, the situation had stabilized, and 2023 was quite successful. The benefits of standardization and fully automated solutions became evident. We are now in a position to offer our new software to other accounting firms.
Today
Trigon now has an accounting software available in Estonia, designed with the accountant's mindset in mind. Accountants no longer have to deal with software setup or silly double work. Their life is made as convenient and pleasant as possible, with the program handling routine clicks for them. For example, about half of the bank transactions in CHK are now accounted for without the accountant's intervention. CHK's accountants now experience firsthand the benefits of software tailored to the specifics of an accounting office. The quality of work has improved, errors have been reduced, and automations free up time for analysis and reporting. Accountants can seamlessly replace each other or hand over processes, allowing for smooth transitions. Trigon is the first software to handle both Estonian and Finnish VAT declarations for Estonian businesses. The open banking solution allows integration with 2500 banks operating in Europe, providing a significant advantage in cross-border business. Trigon is already looking into the future, planning further automation of the software. By continuing to develop Trigon, CHK's accounting bureau will remain an innovation hub where new ideas are developed and tested firsthand. The goal is to make life easier for many other accounting bureaus in the future.
Trigon boosts the productivity and convenience of an accountant and the bureau manager
Accounting software for accounting bureaus
Trigon was created to simplify the work processes of an accounting bureau. With state of the art technology and approach, we have standardized managing companies, global settings and automation. In addition to base functionality that exists in all accounting softwares, Trigon offers the following tailor-made functionality.
Users with sufficient rights can create and manage companies bureau-wide from one place. Rights can be granted to a user in one or multiple bureaus for performing administrative tasks.
VAT codes are created with desired activity periods across all of the bureau's companies. Users don't need to spend time learning new VAT code structures for different companies.
Fixed asset groups are bureau-wide for all companies. The user has the option to set an annual depreciation rate for fixed assets that differs from the group's value.
The chart of accounts is also universal for all companies. Users have the option to create local-accounts for the global accounts internally within the company to provide a more detailed analytical overview.
Trigon is the first accounting software in Estonia integrated with the open banking service provider GoCardless, which offers access to 2500+ banks across the UK and Europe. After establishing a connection, transactions are automatically imported four times a day.
Transactions that are imported via open banking or XML file, Trigon automatically searches for bank fees and invoices for transactions to be closed immediately. In 2024, 45% of all imported transactions are automatically processed.
Sending and receiving e-invoices is extremely simple through the Estonian Business Registry's e-invoice service. Activating e-invoices requires just a couple of clicks. The software can forward the received e-invoices to the company owner's email if desired. Since July 2025, it is possible to receive e-invoices via PEPPOL network.
Each company has its own mailbox for receiving documents, where to invoices and receipts in PDF and image formats can be sent via email. All incoming files are automatically digitized via Costpocket, making the documents machine-readable. This speeds up and improves invoice processing significantly.
Trigon is the first accounting software in Estonia with the capability to generate both Estonian and Finnish VAT declarations. Declaration settings apply across all companies, allowing accountants to focus on more important tasks.
The VD report is also created based on bureau-wide settings for all companies. The cherry on top is the European-wide VAT number check before submitting the declaration.
The entrepreneur can improve their clients' payment behavior by using Montonio payment links. Payment links are automatically created for EUR/PLN sales invoices and are also included as a link in emails, PDFs, and e-invoices. Register at Montonio!
If the entrepreneur uses Finbite, Trigon automatically imports the purchase invoices and expense reports from Finbite.
An accounting company that uses Uku's billing capabilities can import work volumes from Trigon into Uku for accurate accounting service invoicing and export sales invoices from Uku to Trigon.

Automation preserves peace of mind
Every base document that arrives into Trigon is digitized by Costpocket. Every transaction - imported via XML or Open Banking is analyzed and closed on applicable rules. Accountant will have more time to work on the financial reports.
